The Ballarat Art Gallery Range is where I bring together the best of two worlds. Tess from the Gallery Shop and I have collaborated to create a range of socks that  have  vibrant colour combinations using the best European yarns featuring the self striping 75% wool 25 % nylon which are only available commercially overseas.

Sadly Australia does not yet make such a yarn. The raw wool is processed in Turkey and spun in Italy into high quality worsted yarns ideal for socks.

I then incorporate the contrast cuff, heel and toe which gives this range the ‘POP’ of contrasting solid colour. For this I use a merino nylon blend from Nundle Woollen Mills in NSW. Nundle use vintage wool processing equipment and I find it produces as n amazing quality Australian wool, which the sock machine loves.
