Bringing the art of sock-making back
The Odd Sockery is located in the small town of Clunes, Australia, and began in 2018 with the arrival of an Antique Gearheart Circular Sock Knitting Machine circa 1904. Each pair of socks are lovingly hand cranked & hand dyed in Australia, and will give you years of joy.
Artisan Sock Maker
Leanne Wills is a Textile Artisan and Sock Maker. She has been a curator of an enormous range of yarns & fabrics since childhood. She has always loved the texture and feel of fabrics like raw fleece, a knitted garment, the drape of fabric. She now finds herself at the cusp of this “Rare Trade” of Sock Making and her journey as The Odd Sockery of Clunes seems simply meant to be.
